Your body contains all the wisdom you need. This training offers an experiential journey to become friends with the body, develop trust in its language, discover its innate wisdom and understand that you already have within what you need for your healing, growth and well-being.
It is “experiential”, because you will perceive, move, and out of the moving body, source your own understanding and perception .Your learning is a remembering of what you already know . The tools played with are “ navigators “ to experientially get to know your own body and its embodied consciousness which guides you to trust, allow, heal and simply be.
Natural Dance and Somatic Movement Education is by its nature, explorative and has an innate healing and therapeutic affect.
The methods are simple and pragmatic ways to bring into experience that “feeling good “ is a basis for authentic transformation and learning in a pleasurable way is encouraged.
You will move , explore ,inhabit, feel safe and at home in your body through natural dance, somatic movement, embodied experiential anatomy, embryology studies , cellular consciousness , playfulness and meditation.
It is for Anybody with Any Body . The contents can be incorporated in professional and everyday life. It can be applied in any work place, to your body work ,movement practices ,therapy ,creativity and for health practicioners.
Somatic and embodiment tools support your spiritual practices to be integrated into your daily life. ”Soma” (translated from Greek) means awareness of the body from within and embodiment is inhabiting and accessing its cellular consciousness. In reality, most lives are lived in dynamic motion, dynamic relation to other people and the environment and your spiritual practice needs to support you to deal with this.
To guide your inner teacher Navanita creates a sense of safety and containment, facilitating you to explore your edges while being anchored in your resources to integrate the new . Resources come from rediscovering and re-establishing a new felt sense of your body in its entirety . This is happening through a joyful and light hearted enquiry , experiencing that being absorbed in play is how we learn best.
You may move, dance, write, draw , sense ,feel ,visualize ,live and communicate about your learning experiences . Explore and find your own unique way of expressing yourself or rest with it all in silence.
- A doctor expressed her delight in discovering her body with Navanita ”I am a person who had an idea that I already knew the body. I had learnt about the body through energy work. Then I had learnt about the body through emotions . However, here I have really learnt about the body through the body.”
"Real education is like drawing water from a well ,not pouring something into the well .Real education is drawing out of your being ,so that your inner luminosity starts filtering through your body ,your behavior ."

This is an invitation to let your body experience be the most important teacher. By inhabiting your body more fully and progressively feeling more comfortable in your own skin, you are able to feel more at home in the world. Welcoming, making friends, and awakening consciousness of the embodied resources which we can find in the body systems: working with the map of cells, membranes and fluids, organs, bones, and muscle tissue as well as the ancient knowing of a fluid endocrine and nervous system. We come to acknowledge how each body has its own unique language and orchestration.
Embodiment is being conscious of, and at home in, your own body. Becoming aware of your origins of movement, you will be experientially remembering how beginning life as one cell and creating a human body through movement, affects the perception of yourself and your movements today.
By revisiting early movement development patterns and responses, which began in the womb and in the first years of growth, we can have an affect on how we relate to our self, others and the environment , how you we grow and learn.
We grew though movement. It was the first sense to develop. Perception of yourself began through movement and touch and is a language you will be re-establishing to support awareness of being here now and as a tool for communication.
To assist in once more seeing your body as your home, compassionately to develop a sense of an inner witness. Not a commentator or judge, but an inner companion who enables you let go of doing and enables you to yield in being
Through somatic movement and natural dance exploration you can re-establish trust, and nurture an understanding - on a deep cellular level of any tissue of our map. Reclaiming the intrinsic nature and wisdom of your body you will be bringing changes to patterns of holding or moving, creating clarity, spontaneity and grounding. This re-establishes innate supports for your dance of being human. It is a way to inhabit body- and the mysterious life source within- and reclaim both as your “home”.
"Without leaving his house he knows the whole world. Without looking out of his window, he sees the way of heaven" Lao Tzu
These will be precious days to recharge and recover the peace and vital stillness in your body/mind system oriented on comfort and ease.
Sahaj means easy and natural, Yoga means union of the body, mind and spirit. Stretching is a way of consciously letting go of tensions and creating more space on the inside.
Bringing consciousness into the body empowers it. Sensing the body creates clarity and perception and by exploring embodied anatomy of your own body systems, tissues and cells, such as cells, membranes and fluids, organs, bones, and muscle tissue as well as the ancient knowing of a fluid endocrine and nervous system you inhabit and re-establish the bodies innate resources .
To consciously recognize the intrinsic supports within the body, we need to move. This is our kinesthetic sense. Our sense of movement-called our 6th sense –was the first cranial nerve to form its ability to conduct information in the womb. This indicates how important it was, and still is for life, support, growth ,development and orientation. Our body is made to move, otherwise we would have inbuilt cushions attached to our bums so we could sit all day or there would be wheels on our feet so we could move faster.
Embodiment is an experiential learning process which happens in the bodymind and the experience is integrated at a cellular level. Initiating yoga stretches from a conscious and embodied way supports you to be present to your inner state of being, rather than on effort concerned about results or the ‘doing’ of the yoga stretches .You will be able to recognize what can be done directly and immediately to increase freedom of movement ,breath, to renew grounding, alignment and pulsation.
Whether you are experienced in yoga or not this practice will nourish, support and enhance your connection to the body and the consciousness within. Exploring this through embodied anatomy, visualizing and the felt-sense you affect the whole of you: body, mind, psychology and spirit.
By connecting with the body in a loving, gentle and friendly way the practice is oriented on re-establishing a more vital, intimate and safe perception of the body and the life source within.
"Love your body and you will feel relaxation such as you have never felt before. Love is relaxing. When there is love there is relaxation, you care about the body. To be in love with the body is the first step toward spirituality" Osho
To rekindle and orient on our natural state of being playful, alive and happy, we will be re-establishing the ability to respond to life rather than habitually react to it. To invite the natural resource of playfulness and creativity that makes innocent, beautiful and magical. Awakening wonder, playing with life and its mystery, rather than functioning or working at it.
Playfulness is an integral foundation that dances all the way through the training. It just feels good to have fun and has been scientifically proven that we actually learn the most when we play .It brings you to the moment ,discharges tension , relaxes the nervous system, supports healing, integrating , connecting ,relating and humour helps you to not take yourself or life so seriously.…. and is of course very spiritual.
Awareness of our movement supports the orientation to the moment where response arises from. Unlearning habitual ways of moving in life happen in bringing awareness to what is now.
We notice how, where and when we initiate movement. Impulses for movement, for self organisation arise from within, and giving ourselves permission to allow these impulses enables us to let go of learnt responses. By nurturing our ability to sense, we enable new pathways and qualities of expression.
In a society which discourages experimentation and curiosity, and encourages effort and doing, we have forgotten how to rest and relax. We can reintegrate this physical need through perception and movement. Honouring natural pauses enables embracing of moments of rest which regenerates the system and our aliveness.
The dance of embodiment, the mapping through the tissue systems offers us a playground of resources. Within this terrain the witness and the act of being rather than doing once more arise to the foreground. Moving beyond the script of our stories, - the patterns of learnt nervous system response, - we reclaim our right to orient to the present moment. Nerves choose, when to be quick, move you to refuge or when to take time and allow you to emerge. They gain tools to move beyond being stuck or startled and we befriend rather than defend within our environment. Freeing up this myriad of responses, we are once more free to engage with life as adults without sacrificing our innocent, playful absorption in the mystery of life.
"Response is moment to moment. It has nothing to do with memory; it has something to do with your awareness. You see the situation with clarity; you are clean, silent, and serene. Out of this serenity, spontaneously you act. It is not a reaction, it is action. You have never done it before, but the beauty of it is that it will suit the situation, and it will be a joy to you to know that you are capable of being spontaneous." Osho

Health is a natural sate of being. This module is oriented on supporting a healthy wholeness in the body, mind and spirit. Being friends and in your body offers a way for you to experience and understand that you already have what you need for your own healing and growth within, and that its always here.
Orientation on what it means to experience comfort, access resources and instincts supports a feeling of bein safe and at home in the body. Using movement, sensing, receiving, bringing in visual imagery and our imagination, we listen to the wisdom and guidance the body mind system offers to support health and well-being .As each body is unique, you have the opportunity to discover your bodies’ language.
By developing consciousness oriented on taking care of health, rather than taking care of sickness or what is a problem or not OK, we can begin to take care of and access resources, strengths and innate qualities which had previously been unconscious and learn to nourish and restore natural health potency.
The whole system is involved in health. The body systems, fluids and cells, the mind, the feelings and the life source. We will be exploring cellular potency and its way to take care of health.
Every cell in our body is alive with consciousness and potency .Each of our 75 trillion cells offer wisdom and is instinctively aware of maintaining health. Cells communicate and respond to the intention for the maintenance of the whole organic community. What we think affects the cells and hence the body and how we are in our body also affects the mind. The system is not one body and one mind it is both, a body-mind relationship. Candace Pert, a leading neuroscientific researcher acknowledges ”Your mind is in every cell of your body”. Suzuki Roshi, a zen teacher, said ”Body and mind are not two and not one.”
To support us in becoming aware, we focus on the microcosm, the model of cellular well being. We learn about boundaries, membranes, space within and around, differentiating self and other; the power of regeneration, exchanges with our environments, and how at this deepest, simplest level of the body, self organisation towards always being healthy is maintained. Therefore, this experiencing of our cells connects us with our authentic and true well nature, unique to each individual. It serves as inspiration for noticing how this model may support us in other aspects of our being, where we seek health and wellbeing. We understand, from within, that patterns are created and held at these levels. By trusting we can explore cellular awareness, we have an opportunity to bring change and have new choice - oriented on what is needed in this moment
Knowing what is needed is a way of being kind to yourself. Kindness towards the self creates more clarity, enabling wiser and healthier life-style choices. Through simple and playful ways of restoring well-being, “taking care of yourself” can become a meditation. Rather than you doing it to the body and telling it what is good for it, you learn the art of listening to the body and letting it guide you to what it needs. This empowering wisdom is a remembrance of how you already know what you need to nourish, revitalise and support your natural state of health and well-being.
"The word Healing comes from the same source as where the word Whole comes . Whole ,Health ,healing all come from the same root. To be Healed means to be joined with the Whole" Osho
The best way to share your knowing is to shine your knowing, to be it, so that others may see and be free to choose what to learn from it.
We practices our skills to communicate, to deepen experiences and be present using Natural Dance and Somatic Movement and Embodied Anatomy. It is to integrate the tools and inspirations and ongoing exploration from the previous 4 parts to find new and healthy ways to explore movement, touch, the body and dance and to have the courage and expression to support others to be in the body. Practical ways to play with and remain connected with the body stay present and grounded. The module will respond to the needs of the group and the individual.
Respecting the skills you already bring, we will seek to find ways of supporting each other in how we may communicate and share with others. Be it a professional or a personal need, we will once more use the body map, our moving selves and all the creativity available to engage in communicating our truth and embodying them. An underscore of compassion, ordinariness, our humour and individuality we claim language, timing, pacing, placing and knowing when to embrace silence, as ways to facilitate others their learning joy.
Whatever our fields of application are, either in sport, healing, meditation, daily living... we explore embodied presence, where we need courage, where our body can offer us support to communicate. The internal landscape, in particular a regulated nervous system, in harmony with our endocrine glands, with responsive rather than reactive muscle tissue and the clarity offered by our bones for structure of thought, will be supported by the emotional substance of our organ presence with it all harmonised, accelerated, paced and at times contained by our fluids. Once more, we cellebrate our unique expressions.
We address how to offer others support for the telling of their stories. We notice when we would encourage movement, when there is a need to speak, to draw, to express, laugh and when there is a need to rest, to integrate, to be silent . We are truthful and humble. Most of all, we celebrate the skills we have. We allow them to shine, to be played with and seen. The more we are comfortable with owning the uniqueness that is each one of us, the easier it becomes to move into our own authority. When we dance, allowing all our moving, with courage and an open heart, along the paths that are truly ours, other can join us and share the journey
"The light of your being, or whatever you call spirit , essence , soul? ...is shining through your body" Osho
